McDonalds trialed the McRib for a few months as a regular menu item, but found that, like Disney princess movies, the demand is just not there for it as a regular menu offering. Introduce false demand, via availability only periodically, though, and it's a money-maker.
What, you think Apple was the first?
After some discussion, though, it was decided that a McRib is definitely not in my best interests. It has something to do with the allergy and food content in the product itself. Even my rebuttal
But, McRib!didn't help. And here I was sure it was a guaranteed game-clincher. Alas, no go. And the McRib may just go another year.
